Saskatchewan Immigration Nomination Program
Saskatchewan is one of the Prairie provinces with an economy is primarily based on
agriculture and natural resources industries like forestry and fishing. The province

The SINP is Saskatchewan’s Provincial Nominee Program. Like other PNPs,
prospective immigrants with the skills and experience targeted by the province may
be given a provincial nomination certificate based on which they can apply for
Canadian permanent residence with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada
(IRCC).
The SINP accepts applications under the following categories:

- Saskatchewan Experience Category

What are the eligibility criteria for Saskatchewan PNP?
For a PNP, the concerned provincial government sets the eligibility criteria. The
eligibility criteria for SINP has been set as per the following categories:
- International Skilled Worker is the category which is meant for those foreign
skilled workers who want to live and work in Saskatchewan.
- Saskatchewan Experience is the category which is meant for foreign
nationals who are living and working in Saskatchewan.
- Entrepreneur and Farm is the third category under SINP and is meant for
those who want to start a business or buy and operate a farm in the province.
International Skilled Worker Category
1. International Skilled Worker - Employment Offer :-
This sub-category is for skilled workers with a skilled job offer from a Saskatchewan
employer.
Eligibility requirements:
- Score of at least 60 out of 100 as per the SINP point assessment grid
- Minimum one-year work experience in the past 10 years in the intended
occupation
- Language score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 at least
- Eligibility proof for Saskatchewan licensure for a regulated profession or
compulsory apprenticeship trade
- A permanent and full-time employment offer in Saskatchewan, along with a
valid SINP Job Approval Letter as a proof. The job offer must be in an
occupation in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) Matrix level “A”,
“B” or “0”, or in a designated trade in Saskatchewan.
2. International Skilled Worker - Occupations In-Demand :-
This sub-category is for highly skilled workers with experience in an in-demand occupation in Saskatchewan, who do not yet have a job offer in the province.
Eligibility requirements:
- Score of at least 60 out of 100 as per the SINP point assessment grid
- Minimum Language score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4
- Post-secondary education, apprenticeship or training comparable to the
Canadian education system of at least one year in length, must have earned
a degree, diploma or certificate
- Educational credential assessment (ECA) for education completed outside
Canada from an IRCC approved organization
- Work experience in an occupation that is high skilled and not on the excluded
occupation list
- Work experience in the field of completed post-secondary education,
apprenticeship or training, must be comparable to the Canadian education
system of minimum one year in length
- Proof of professional status or eligibility for licensure for regulated
occupations or those with professional certification standard
- A settlement plan along with the proof of settlement funds?
International Skilled Worker - Saskatchewan Express Entry:-
This sub-category enables the province to nominate individuals who are already in
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada's (IRCC) Express Entry pool and
have skilled work experience in an in-demand occupation in Saskatchewan.
Eligibility requirements:
- Score of at least 60 out of 100 as per the SINP point assessment grid
- Minimum required CLB as per the Express Entry program language
requirements
- Post-secondary education, apprenticeship or training, comparable to the
Canadian education system of minimum one year in length, must have
earned a diploma, certificate or degree
- Educational credential assessment (ECA) for education completed outside
Canada from an IRCC approved organization
- Work experience in an occupation that is high skilled and not on the excluded
occupation list
- Work experience in the field of completed post-secondary education,
apprenticeship or training that must be equivalent to the Canadian education
system of minimum one year in length
- Proof of Professional Status or eligibility for licensure for regulated
occupations or those with professional certification standard
- A settlement plan along with proof of settlement funds
Saskatchewan Experience Category
This category is for foreign workers that are currently living in Saskatchewan. The
Saskatchewan Experience Category accepts applications under the following
sub-categories:
Existing Work Permit
This sub-category is for individuals who have been working in Saskatchewan for at
least six months under a valid work permit.
Health Professionals
This sub-category is for individuals who have worked as a physician, a nurse, or in
another health profession in Saskatchewan for at least six months.
